I have heard PLTZF pronounced
1. platz
2. platzif
3. plitz
4. plitzf

and FRTZF pronounced
5. fratz
6. fratzf
7. fritz
8. fritzf

Which do you use, or do you pronounce it another way?

...(the acronyms are pronounced "Fritz" and "Plahtz.")

Is there any way of saying it without sounding drunk though?

I thought the Standard provided the pronunciation guide. Am i wrong?

Um, ringster is my 17 Sep 08 11:11 post not clear on this?

Oops, there it is. I guess I will stop calling it Schlitz and Bratz. Or Hans and Frans...

You need to practice your super-sibilance, as ctopher says.

I was using Fritz and Plahtz, but I think in the future I'll use "Schlitz and Blatz" (former Milwaukee beers).

CheckerRon,
These are good tips, however Schlitz is no longer former. They started selling it again this year. I will forward your excellent recommendations to the appropriate Y14 committee. ;)

Really, Schlitz is back in production? I love a good PBR, and my alma mater has many buildings that belonged to the old Blatz brewery in MKE. Good times!
