I just started working with some products that go through a hot-stamping procedure and manufacturing is asking for a flatness spec. on our part to ensure squash or missing lettering is minimized. Some of the engineers have used the <.05mm flatness rule of thumb for the die. I'd assume it would be roughly the same for the part but am a bit unfamiliar with the finer details of the process. Does anyone have recommendations on this, or suggestions of questions to ask to start getting answers with this? Thanks.
