head will be the one you calculate , proximity of chiller to boiler has nothing to do with pipe diameters you select yourself, which ultimately results in final head. pipe networks are separated so there is no any inter-influence on such decisions. the only "driving force" is sizing method you choose - velocity, equal friction.
