history of radiators

I'm working on a report about radiator design and I have some problem to found information about the history of radiators.
Could you help me ?
Do you know some web pages about this topic ?
Can anyone tell me which major innovations have been done through the years and on which cars ?

The radiator was once adorned with a small statue of St. Joseph, patron saint of travellers (I think his name was Joseph) by a bishop in New England. Afterwards, the practice became common and thus, the hood ornament was born!
