I am looking for an adhesive that will maintain its clarity at a service temperature of +300 C. It will be used to join borosilicate glass and does not need to have high adhesive proprities as the glass diameter is four inches with very little load on the joint. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rodriego .I find your question very intersting since I too am searching for some similar adhesive .
Kindly let me know if you have been able to resolve your problem and in case it has been resolved how so .

Thank you very much .

I would start looking at MgO and Silicate based cements.
I've been trying to remember if Magnesium Oxychloride sets translucent or opaque. Sodium and Potassium Silicates both will set clear. Make sure you try any cement on scrap and give it an extended exposure as there is good possibility that some of the materials will dissolve glass.

Just for curiosity, what quality bond do you need?

What is the required clarity?

Also you might give these people a try.
