Hi all,

I am looking for a high strength dielectric washer (>100ksi yield)
I have a test setup of Inconel to Steel in a Salt Spray chamber.

I am aware of the potential for galvanic action and I am looking for a high strength dielectric. The force between Inconel and Steel will be max ~100ksi

Any Ideas?

I also read in the forum about LanoCote and Tef Gel as coatings.
this is a 10 day test so it doesn't have to last forever.

The Inconel is required for strength and to also not corrode in the salt spray.
I can consider alternatives to the Inconel..however they need to be very strong and not corrode.

What I am testing is the Steel under stress. Inconel is used to create stress.

Thanks,

Herc

Ceramic washers are readily available and have good dialectric properties. They can be fragile though, especially if used on surfaces that aren't well finished.

Ceramic is the only way to go with this.
How dielectric do you need?
Reach out to the CoorTek guys for info.

Thanks, I really don't know how to specify the dielectric strength needed.
Just want to break the electrical contact so I don't get galvanic action.

I will look into and let you know how it worked.

Thanks again!
