Dear colleagues,

presently i was entitled with calculating some devices located in a tunnel for speed trains. The problems is that i want to check the pressures and for that I need to determine the characteristics of the flow in front of the train as well as on sides.

Being just a check calculus the client agree we neglect the phenomenon very close to wall so we need to check where and what will be the maximum value (the pick) of the pressure.

I know i need to apply the eq of continuity, momentum and energy. However I do not remember the exact steps as well as mathematical model which stays behind.

Please, is there anybody who knows a bit more about HIGH SPEED TRAINS IN TUNNELS?

Thank you. I really appreciate your answers.

Regards,
Florin B

I believe high speed trains don't go at high speed in tunnels. So I'd just describe it as trains in tunnels.
