Have to repair a Westech gear reducer and would need help in selecting journal bearing clearances, lube oil viscosity, minimum oil flow and Babbitt recommended alloy.
The gear reducer has the following specifications:
Brand and Model: Westech Gear Corporation Model 3101-3
Solar P/N 50583-8
S/N 3302
Power: 1400 HP
Input RPM: 22300
Input Dia and length: 2" x 3.125" 2 bearings
Output RPM: 6394
Output Dia and length: 3.250" x 3.125" 2 bearings
Do not have Manual or any other information available. The Gear Reducer is driven by a Solar gas turbine and drives a split case multistage centrifugal pump.
