We have a Induction furnace, in which we have earth fault relay with 250/5Amp CT with 500Hz supply. Because furnace power is of high frequency, relay used is 10Khz. Normally we use 50/60Hz operating signal for relays. We want new relay as old one is bad. I am not able to get supplier of this type of relay with higher frequency. Pls. anybody knows the supplier & how it behave if I use 50Hz relay instead of 10Khz relay. I am waiting for yours valuable feddbacks. It seems nobody is taking interest. Pls reply.

Bad luck, Vivekgupta, earth fault protection on induction heating furnance is quite special.

- because of different frequency (as already noted)
- usually earth fault protection is used to check the condition of the crucible. Therefore it is really safety critical

If you can't get a replacement from the original supplier of your equipment, try to find a company specialized on servicing induction melting equipment.
