Interesting. Sounds similar to the Hyundai/Delphi GDCI approach written up in Automotive Design & Production Feb 2014. Also compression ignition gasoline direct injection with partial premix and multiple injections into a diesel-like mexican hat piston combustion chamber. They make a rather vague claim to 25% efficiency improvement.
