Hi,

I am designing a hydraulically operated static test rig for 6000N forces. Forces are applied in 6 Dof. Steel will be used for the setup.
Need guidance for structural design of the machine.

That's a pretty lightweight rig. Most rigs I see are aluminium, maybe with helicoils. You will never regret making it too strong.
