I'm looking at a chart of material properties for some Fused Deposition Thermoplastics ( They have a property called "Elongation Strength" shown for the different materials (as a percent). For their Nylon 12 it is listed as "30%". I'm not sure what that number means. I'm guessing it's the "yield strength" as a percent of the Tensile Strength (listed as 7000 psi for this material)?

I would suspect it to mean elongation at break, or ultimate tensile. Nylon will yield at much less than 30%.

I finally was able to talk with a technical person at the company. She said it was indeed elongation at break and confirmed it was indeed 30%
