Hello
We have completed 100% replacement of teh annular plates and extensive bottom plate patch works on a tank undergoing rehabilitation works. Found a no. of bulging areas after the patch plate works were completed. We are looking into methos to fill the voids below the bottom plates, to avoid stress on the weld joints when the product level goes up and down. Foundation is oily sand.
TMG specifies using Controlled low strength mortar. I think, as the foundation is oily sand, this will not be fesaible, as the mix will not flow and self level to fill the gaps. Please share on methods of filling up the gaps.
