Please see the attached sketch. The construction is 2x8 wall with wood end gable truss. My question is in regards to height of my shear wall. To me the gable truss along with the wall sheathing is on component. And since the shearwall is braced at the bottom chord with a ceiling and blocking, the top of my shear wall appears to be at the bottom chord of the truss. Not sure though, would appreciate input.
