HEC-RAS & Civil 3D

I am new to HEC-RAS and from what I have read here, I can use Civil 3D to export cross-sections (created from sample lines/alignments). Is this a tool that is included with Civil 3D or is it an additional download (I have a subscription to 3D)? Any hints etc. that you know of that might help me get started?
