HELP!
Is there an option or way to input blocked depth to represent sediments inside a pipe culvert in HEC-HMS?
I am required to use HEC-HMS for this. And the extensive system was already modeled in HEC-HMS, so i can't use other modeling tools like Hydrocad.

The idea is to model the varying sediments depths as it accumulate, and analyze what depth would result in the flow to overtop the culvert. This is so maintenance will know when to clean them out once the sediment builds up to a certain depth.

My initial approach is to find the equivalent pipe size for the remaining opening.

One can evaluate this type of system using HY-8 and generate rating curves that would then be coded into HMS using multiple profiles. I am not aware of an option in HMS that would do this assessment.

Thanks gbam. I ended up having to compute the area blocked and then determining the equivalent diameter of remaining area.
