Can A/SA-453 Type 660 Class B material be re-heat treated
to Class A just be doing the Class A required Solution
Treatment followed by the Class A Hardening Treatment ?
Class B requires an 1800 F Solution Treatment while
Class A requires a 1650 F Solution Treatment, with 1
and 2 hour soak times respectively.
The A/SA Standards don't really address starting
material conditioning (i.e., annealing etc.)

Thanks in advance for your time.

I don't see why you couldn't do this. You can take an as-worked item (above 1800) and perform the Class A HT, and the Class B SHT temp. doesn't change this.
