Hi everyone,
I am working on the sizing of a steam generator to recover heat from hot heat transfer oil (150 degree Celsius, 10 Liter/min). The generator need to produce saturated steam at 60 gram/min from water at room temperature (25 degree C). I don't have hands-on experience on steam generator design and sizing, and I have learned the basics through Google search. I am looking some information and suggestions for the following questions:
1. What type of steam generator should I use? Would coil type once through steam generator be a appropriate choice?
2. What is the upper limit of temperature/pressure of saturated steam generated pratically?
3. How to do a back of envelop calculation to get an general idea of the size of the steam generator?
4. What are teh good books or references for my task?
Thanks.
