Hi,

Want to perform thermoplastic heat generation during bending of steel sheet in ANSYS Workbench. It is 2D behavior using plane stress elements. The nonlinear transient analysis is solving without problem, but when I want to change the element type to PLANE223 it does not work. I use this snippet:
/PREP7
et,matid,223,11
keyopt,n,1,11
keyopt,n,2,1
keyopt,n,9,1
timint,on,therm
timint,off,struct
mp,qrate,matid,0.9

Errors:
-Some of the element based thermal loads may be inappropriate. Check
applied element loads carefully. Ensure that film coefficients and
bulk temperatures are always positive.
- Element 408 is turning inside out
- Element 408 has negative Jacobian values at 2 integration points and
the ratio of the part represented by the integration points to the
element area reaches 0.936691468. Please modify the mesh before
solving again.
Could anyone help???
Thanks in advance
