HEALTH REGULATION/RAW WATER FOR LANDSCAPE 1

Good morning,
I'm working in in a project in Imperial County in California.
I want to know if does exist any health regulation for the use of raw water for landscape irrigation?
what happen I need to support a design where there is no enough potable water, and was proposed raw water use for landscape, and the City inquire us about this issue.

I'll appreciate any guide line.

Water treatment is not normally required for waters from natural sources when those waters are used for agriculture. There may be a concern in regards to the mineral content of the water. For example, a brackish water laden with salts is not well suited for irrigation. It is rarely economical to treat water used for agriculture.

If you are reusing wastewater, then are are requirements for treatment. If you are referring to wastewater, then you have to follow the Title 22 regulations that call for tertiary treatment and disinfection:
