Where do you guys get your health care insurance? I am a one person LLC and the ASME type groups have astronomical premiums.

I am covered by national health insurance for which I pay about 6% of my salary whilst I am working, but which covers me for all eventualities for the whole of my life.

IFRs,

I think it would depend on where the rest of us work?

I am also covered by government health insurance, paid for by the employers.

For supplemental health insurance, I can purchase that through my employer, or separately through private insurance carries/companies.

Let me back up.

Blue Cross would be for you and your family.

If you meant for your company, then I don't know off hand.

BCBS is very expensive unless you are in a group. Know of any groups?

I am going to take a wild stab, so here goes:
- your university alumni association (this is an often overlooked source of discounts on everything from insurance, travel, logoed clothing, tickets to shows, etc.)
- various professional associations, like your engineering association
- organizations/clubs (check out the NRA for example)
- Starbucks (don't laugh, I read it in Fortune magazine)
- AARP (now these guys have stroke)

Corus must be living in a country with socialized medicine.
In the U.S.A. the medicine is business monopoly.

IHS: In which country do you live ?
