Have never heard a question like this. But, has anybody used HDPE pipe for refrigerant lines ? If yes, can I have a feedback please. If no, why not ?

Two basic reasons why the answer is definately no:

(1) Pressure imitations and (2)temperature limitations of the HDPE.

Other possiblities that I can think of; degradation of pastic due to refrigerant oils; high thermal expansion coefficients of HDPE compared to CU; and transition to metallic heat exchangers and compressors.
