How can we have low DC voltage for ceramic heating element to function to melt glue, solder filler, etc?
 
Battery, wall transformer, dynamo, etc.

They used to make a battery-run soldering iron, so it's doable; it's just a question of how many watts and joules are needed to a plausibly usable time duration
