Can anyone post an advice regarding good and simple device (MODEM?) to be connect to the Computer USB port and can read HART signals from transmitters and valve positioners.
Program to run it is the "PACTware" see or just (in deutsch)
Thanks to all

The Fisher Rosemount AMS software connects to HART instruments using a HART modem on the serial port. The Fisher Rosemount peddlers would likely demo that software and modem. You could use the EIA 232 or chase the modem manufacturer down to see if it is also available USB.

We used a portable 24 Vdc source for valve transducers or smart Transmitters NOT connected to a control panel. You may need a 24 VDC power supply and 250 ohm resistor in addition to the HART modem and laptop.

As peddled by our Rosemount rep.

There is a USB type. I have not used it, only the serial equivalent.

I'm getting a great education!

If any one is interesting - I found that SMAR have also came with HART to PC modom, "HI321 HART USB Interface for IBM PC Compatibles" see Byt I'm still looking for small manufacturers.
