While I recover from (insurance approval pending) surgery, our IT guy will hopefully resolve the long standing reboot, SWX nuisance and stability issues on my workstation. If wiping it and reinstalling everything doesn't fix it, hardware is next.
We've got an AMD firepro W9100 sitting under my desk that we though was the source of woe until the problems came back. The box is a 2.4 GHz xeon dell precision 7910. I'm on win 7 64 and will be going to 10.
What do you all recommend for a solidworks / autocad LT box and graphics card? I do mid range modelling of centrifugal pump casings, impellers and components. Modelled, assemblies run maybe up to 200 pieces, if everything on the BOM was modelled, probably 1000-1500 pieces max.
