I was reading with interest the comments about algae forming on Hardi-Plank products. It makes me wonder if the geographical location has something to do with it. As a siding contractor in So. California, I have never seen nor heard of sweating or algae forming on this type of siding.I have heard of possible concerns involving the use of Tyvek wrap as opposed to black paper (Jumbo-Tex), but they haven't banned it yet. Or maybe it's all rumors. So somebody please tell me which region of the country this moisture-algae problem happens.
