I am working on a problem with friction wear between two parts. One of them is hard annodized 5052 H32 Aluminum. My question is what is the hardness of this material after the annodizing process. I have looked several places, but have so far been unsucessful finding a spec on this. Any references you can suggest for annodized materials would be helpful.

Thanks

as hapens so many times in the engineering world... it depends; there is a wide range because "hard annodising" is a typical or broad term. so you need to learn more about it so you can then nail down your supplier. start at this page then go to the index - warning - only when you have a lot of time.
