I am trying to research whether a FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) coating would help prevent corrosion of samarium cobalt in deep bore conditions with H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) - assuming concentration of between 5% - 30%.
What is the permeability of the epoxy to H2S?
Is this a dry (gas only) application or is there water and oil present also? This will not be a garden variety of epoxy.
I would rather go with a solvent-less liquid system since there will be less chance for porosity.
You could look at FBE in two coats. Holidays are what will kill you.
