Doesn't ring a bell. What year was the bridge constructed? I have the 1944, 1953, and a few other AASHOs at the office; I can look into it on Monday. Is there any other information given?

I looked in the old AASHO's & AASHTO's - nothing about a Class B loading.

i think this is loading related to the canadian dump truck.

What country? I doubt it is related to your question, but in Australia a prime mover pulling two semi-trailers is called a B-double.

As it is H20-44 so AASHTO and has to be US. One of my Canadian clients asked about it but looks like he himself doesn’t know what he needs. Thanks you all for your valuable time and input.

OK, it is US. But until about 30 years ago, a lot of countries, including Australia, used the AASHTO designations. Thus my question.

I wonder if this is referring to the double rear axle "Alternative" loading situation for H20-S16 Trucks according to the 1963 Califirnia Highway design manual?

Maybe classified as commerical driver licenses - "Class A, 18 wheelers, trailer trains, semi's'; "Class B, standard one piece trucks, trailers, I guess". What is "Class C - other commercial trucks, delivery vans"? You and I have "Class D - passenger cars", I believe.
