Hi all,

In odder to make a tank become shop fabricated, we would like to make it 15' diameter and 40' high. The H/D ratio is 4. If foundation is ok, will this ratio be considered acceptable ? Any special concerns ?

Fairly common practice. It will probably require anchor bolts for wind overturning.

For the shop fabricated tanks I have specified, 15 foot diameter is outside the limits of transport. When the clearance for the required transport trailer is included (2.5 ft) you are approaching 18 foot vertical clearance.

In the USA, 12 to 14 foot tank diameter is about the maximum for transport under bridges.

The 40 foot length is not a problem...
