Dear Friends
I would like to know what is H/D ratio(Height/Diameter) in storage Tank Design.which references could be useful for this reason?

Hey dear friends it depends on the soil resistence.
Hmax=1000*SR/SG

SR: minimum SOil resistence (kg/cm2)
SG: speciif gravity (non dimensioanl)
hmax: mm

Depending on the height to diameter ratio (providing that the foundation can take the loading), designing for wind loading per API-650 may require anchors which has a cost impact. Sometimes by manipulating the size of the tank (height/diameter) you can avoid anchors if the design pressure of the tank is low or at atmospheric.

It depends on the size of the tank, whether it's pressurized or not, whether it has a floating roof or not, whether seismic or wind are significant, etc.
