Hi,

I have read up on the use of the intersecting curves method in the Megger earthing guides and some (very old) material by Dr GF Tagg - however the method is not addressed in IEEE80/81. I have also seen a few prior posts in the forum mentioning it.

I am curious to understand more detail from people who have actual performed this method in the past and their experience, particularly with regard to its accuracy and any peculiarities of the process.

It also appears to me from the description that not a great deal of difference is achieved between the standard FoP method vs intersecting curves - possibly having to run half the length of injection & measurement probes? Not a great saving if there is a risk the method doesn't give good results.

For reference we have a large Solar ground grid to test, dimensions approx. 600m x 100m. We are well experienced with using the FoP & Slope methods.

Thanks
