GROOVE ON THE SURFACE OF A PART

Could you please tell me about how to create a groove on the face of a part ( For example oil groove).


Cutting is very long procedure for comlex and more than one groove shapes

you could do a cut and offset the end from the surface and check the box to reverse the offset, or convert a line onto the surface using the split line feature to project a line onto the surface you can then make a plane that is normal to curve and draw your cut shape on that and sweep your cut from there.
