Goog morning to all!
A question about m and y factor (ASME VIII), for a graphite stem packing:
m is the gasket factor as per ASME calculation
y is the gasket preseating stress as per ASME calculation
I do not know if value y=69MPa (spiral wound metal + carbon)
is correct (i think is too much for a graphite stem packing)
Anyone who knows the correct values for these kind of gaskets?
Thanks a lot
