I'm curious to know more about the graphite crucibles with those spouts at the bottom of the crucible with a graphite rod as a stopper. I know that they are used mostly for casting rare metals. Thus they come pretty small. I would like to use them in a larger application. Is there any video or white paper or anything on how these rod stoppers are used when the material is molten?

Thanks!

Visit web sites of crucible makers. There are a wide verity of these out there.
You need to be careful what you melt in them, the clay binder is not compatible with many metals.
That said I have seen similar crucibles in mullite, Al2O3, SiC, and graphite so you have options.
Start with foundry supply shops.
