I have recently upgraded my workstation, and thus are able to use a PCIe graphics card. I have two to choose from. I first started off with a Nvidia Quadro NVS 280, and it actually performed decent. This only qualm with that card is its lack of realview support. So I decided to try an ATI FireGL V3100 that I had laying around.

I got it installed and am seeing graphics corruption in my viewports. In the featuremanager tree there is a black stripe across the bottom. If I try to edit a sketch, and I zoom in or rotate, a white box will overlay it and corrupt the object.

I have tried all different drivers on the ATI site, but to no avail.

The catch is...I am running XP x64, so there are no "certified" drivers available. I have this same problem on 2005SP5 and 2006SP0.

Am I destined to just going back to the nvidia?

Thanks

First Off the NVS is the only Quadro Card not supported.

Since you installed the ATI did you first uninstall the Nvidia drivers? If not then you need to uninstall all your drivers for both cards, Reboot, isntall the ATI drivers, reboot, and test.

The drivers you need to isntall are listed at the SW website. You should only use the driver that is suggested by SW, not the ones ATI puts out. you can find out which driver under
Search out ATI, your card and the SW version. The drivers are most likely Downloadable from there.

Doesn't matter if you are running 32 or 64 at this time.

The problem is that the version listed for 32-bit windows is different versions for the 64-bit ones listed on the ati site. I will try uninstalling the nvidia ones first, as I did not do that before.
