good reference or book on underpinning and earth retention

I haven't had much experience in earth retention, underpinning, and micorpiles. I was in a meeting yesterday and there was a lot of talk about these issues. Does anyone know of a good book that talks about these topics and concepts? I'm not very familiar with this type of stuff and would like to read up on it.
