Hello There,

Can anyone recommend some good text books or online material relating to the design and management of process control systems? In particular, mineral beneficiation processes.

I want a good general text, or a couple, I can refer to help with the design process from control philosophies, alarm design, selecting and configuring hardware (PLC, DCS), plant signals and communication protocols, good engineering and safety practices and control panel/user interface design.

I have been working with small pilot scale plants and relatively simple processes so far where online material and supplier help was sufficient. I want a deeper and more holistic understanding of process control design fundamentals so I don't need to outsource information as much and can be more valuable. My employer is starting to move into larger more complex production scale plant projects for external clients so I need more reliable sources of information.

Thanks.
