I need to do an input/output PLC diagram of a process, and i need to put the number of module that corresponds, I'm going to use a CompactLogix 1769 with the following modules

Quantity Module
5 1769-IA16
1 1769-L32E
3 1769-OW16
1 1769-PA4
1 1769-SDN

My question is the first module that i use will be the module 0 or 1???? That is i will have module 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 or 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 HELP!!! please

The controller is always slot 0, so when you start adding I/O modules, they will start with slot 1.

The AB user manual may be of some help, it is publication number:

1769-UM011F-EN-P

Just do a Google for the above number, if you don't already have it.

I was reading the manuals, I read that the processor (1769-32E) and the device net scanner (1769-SDN) have a power supply distance rating of 4, so I was thinking in assemble my system in the next order 1769-L32E, 1769-SDN, 1769-IA16, 1769-IA16, 1769-PA4, 1769-IA16, 1769-IA16, 1769-IA16, 1769-OW16, 1769-OW16, 1769-OW16, and the right end cap. In this way the address of the I/O modules address will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 2,3,4,5,6,7,8. I mean Do I need to count the device net scanner and the power supply?. I know this question is very stupid but I have this question because of my inexperience with this controllers and if you help me it'll be a great diference for me.

THANKS

SDN is counted. Not power supply. It will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Controller tags for the SDN will be Local:1:I,Local:1:O, and Local:1:C.
