Getting a UV3

Can anyone offer any insight into the process of getting a UV3 stamp. We currently use a U3 stamp, but the engineer who handled this is no longer with the company.

I am mostly looking for a general timeline from start to finish and a general cost to decide if we want to persure the stamp.
