Hello,

I am now doing my MSc thesis work on dam foundation conditions assessment of the Earth fill dam ( bearing capacity, settlement and water tightness). The foundation materials are mainly Ignimbrite and ash tuff and the dam site is located at seismically active zone.

Ultimately, i want to estimate the potential settlement of the dam due to ash tuff. There fore, would you suggest me how to estimate the settlement due to Ash tuff? And how to adopt the dam foundation parameters ( Width and depth) to estimate bearing capacity?

Thank you!

With regards.

Is there anyone who can provide information? I would be very happy if you share your experiences with me.
