Is it possible to create a curve from the path of a specified point on a link within motion application?

A simple example would be to display the coupler curve of a four-bar linkage:
I've tried two ways to at least get a visual display after running the simulation:
(1) Modeling a very small sphere to approximate the point and generate motion envelope of the sphere path
(2) Import point cloud from spreadsheet data of point coordinates
Any other ideas?

(currently using NX11)

Yes, I believe there is something called a 'Trace' function.

Back in the Old Days Of SDRC I-Deas this was part of the Base Modeling Package. We could animate an object with constraints and the software would trace a point and generate a spline curve. This was one of the biggest function lost we had, when we moved to NX years ago. Following.
