Gearbox dynamics...

If you are building a systems model of the gearbox then the apparent inertia of the driveline is modified by the gear ratios, so if you want to know the inertia at a given point you have to multiply the rotational inetrias on the far side of the gearset by the ratio squared (I think). Does that make sense? It's easy to derive if you think about accelerations. Cheers
