GE Magne Blast Switchgear Tie Breaker

Does anyone know if the old Magne Blast air magnetic switchgear required a free standing auxiliary section when a bus tie breaker was used? I'm looking at the section views of a typical unit and it looks like there isn't much space to do the bus transition in one unit.

Also if anyone had this book I'm sure it would show in there. Been trying to find a copy of it no luck. Maybe I should see if my GE rep can find one

Yes that is what I am referring to. Does the tie breaker need a blank cubicle next to it to do the bus transition? If you placed a feeder cubicle next to the tie breaker, I don't see there being enough space to make the bus transition between the bus splits and have the run-backs.

I would look into the feasibility of cable connecting one side of the tie breaker to the bus in the adjacent cubicle.

Here is something I drafted quick in PDF.

You can see the phasing, red, yellow, blue. What you are seeing is the feeder circuit breaker which is adjacent to the bus tie circuit breaker. I've provided a front view elevation of the bus (color coded) to show what it would look like if you are facing the front of the bus. I'm not sure if this is exactly how GE did it with this gear, but if you had a superstructure module, I think it would be possible to configure it like this and not need a free standing auxiliary cubicle to make the bus transition.
