Hi, a contractor has proposed to use a GE G30 Generator Protection Relay for a GE Frame 6 Generator.
When testing for the current differential protection, we were informed that the prerequisites for tripping was to be in the operating zone and the relay must experience a sudden change in current levels.
Is this the current practice for G30 relays current differential protection? Are there ways to disable the "sudden current ramp" requirements?
