Has anyone had this probelem with a GE 469 protection relay.After a trip from the protection the relay indicates that the moter is still running.If thje relay is de-energised and energised again all is ok.

The 469 has current displayed so was it still showing current? Or what was indicated to make you believe it was saying the motor was running?
If you look on their site, they have had some problems with this relay, although none that I recall are similar to your issue.
