Hi there,
I am doing some research on friction coefficients for slip critical bolts.
I am looking for the friction coefficient for SSPC-SP11 and SSPC-SP15 on surfaces with primer.

If anyone has any guidance with this, that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

- EN1993-1-8 suggests μ ( varies from 0,2 to 0,5),

- EN 1090-2 suggets μ=0.4 for Surfaces blasted with shot or grit and coated with alkali-zinc silicate or
thermally sprayed with aluminium or zinc,

- THe coefficient of friction may be obtained by testing,

- The faying surfaces normally should not be painted with standard protection paint as they reduce the coefficient of friction between the contact surfaces.
