Not sure which kind to use. The engine should only be spinning in the 6500 rpm area. The oil will be pressurized in either use but would a fog spray for frictionless bearings have less loss or other benefits over the gallery fed friction bearings?
Being a radial engine have all those connecting rods to oil from the spider. 2 rows of 5 cylinders. Seems a power gain and simplicity to use an oil fog like 2-cycles use instead of the drilled passages route.
For an example the rods aren't split but 1 piece. A pin holds them like the pin in the piston.
This is a vertical shaft if it makes any difference.
