Does anyone know where I can get a free copy of Teksoft Procad 2D version 9.0? I work in a tool manufacturing shop and have been using it for about six years. The past couple of years I've passed the time on my lunch breaks designing some wood projects. I have them saved on my disks, but I would like to print them on my home computer so I can actually build them. I would also like to modify some of the earlier drawings. This is an older version from the early 90's and I can't locate it anywhere. Also, this is just a hobby of mine, so I'd like to keep it a "freebie"- or at least a "cheapie". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You wanna convert them all to dxf so they open in other progz I reckon. Our company (unfortunately) uses Procad, and in my opinion youre better of with something else anyway - its in the dark ages man!!!.
Theres some awesome *free* 2d/3d CAD packages these days which are 1000 times better, have a look for one of them or if you just wanna print stuff then a decent (free) viewer would suffice with no cad functions........
I bet we still have v9 on floppies somewhere, was this just after DOS? - Mind you it still works like DOS today, nothing in the CADs changed!!!! You could open and print in demo mode if you had an installation disk couldnt you?, but just not export or save. If you got the installation, but ran in demo mode it all works and saves as native .prt files!!!! you could use it as normal - the only thing is you cant open the files in a fully legit version and cant export files to dxf.
You would need a dongle anywayz wouldnt you, if you had an instalation disk and wanted to run it 'normally'?.

Cheers,

Sirius.

I have been using Teksoft Procad for about 15 years now.
The last upgrade I purchased was 'Procam 2000'.

I have now semi retired and find that at home, as I use Windows XP operating system I cannot even load my Teksoft Procam 2000 onto my computer.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could help or can suggest a way around this.
Thank you.
