Free IGES Viewer with Measurement Capabil

Is anyone aware of a free, downloadedable IGES file
viewer for part models that has the ability to
measure the features on the part so a supplier
could fabricate it?

No replies but I found a solution...


Click on the following link to download the free Modelpress Viewer and Modelpress Publisher, both at version 4.3 and install it.

You'll have to get used to the interface on both of these applications but you can take measurements from IGES surface models. The attached zip file contains to bitmap images, one showing a distance measured from Pro/E and the other showing the same distance measured from the Modelpress Viewer.


As you can see, the difference is .0002 and while it's not exact, rounding it off to three places yields the same result as the Pro/E measurement.

have you tried solid view 2004v2pro. there is a free trial version of it someplace on the web.
